Fall Colors

This will be a great weekend for Fall Colors.  I will be heading to the Ozarks just like a lot of other photographers.  I bet you wont be able to get close to the Elk in Ponca.  Remember if you park there the rule is your tires cannot be on the white line of the road or the police can give you a ticket.  Be sure and watch not only for people but where you park as well.

Have you noticed the abundance of acorns this year.  From what I remember from working at the Forest Commission is that one year only one type of Oaks put out acorns and the next year the Red Oaks join them so this must be the year that all acorn bearing trees are putting out.  The other thing I've noticed is that the acorns are not full of holes so either the worm has not come out and is being lazy or else he is dead.  Squirrels love these little worms and I sure depends on them for body fat to survive the winter.

It seems that this month has gone buy so fast.  I made plans to go to the Ozark and to Okahloma this weekend and did not realize that it was the same weekend until I went to make reservations and realized the dates were the same--Now I know a month is just not long enough.

Well as you can imagine I got lots to do.  Not only for shooting photos but getting ready for Haloween which also slipped up on me.  Hope to see you in the wilderness and watch for those Hunters.

Lightroom 5

I'm learning Lightroom 5 and it is not as easy as Lightroom 3.  I've manage to duplicate a lot of my photos and have missed up on my backups.  I know this is a good program but some of it can be very complicated as well.  I wish I had someone to do all this stuff and let me go out into the Wilderness and let me just shoot photos Thats what I love.

Next week I will be heading for New Hampshire and Vermont I can't wait to show you some of the photos.  Covered Bridges and Fall Colors Here We Come! ! !

The Universe

Even though all is well in the Universe things are happening!

Well!  my granddaughter has started moving everything in to her college dorm and even though I know its a good thing for her to be own her on I don't like the idea either.  Things are going to be different for her now--lots of changes in her life. My daughter and her family are excited about this journer for her and feels that this will be a good experience for her.  Part of life you know!

My better-half is still in Mexico on a mission trip and will be returning in a few days.  He said the trip had been a success and that all was going will with the little church--its growing.

My son is the youth minister at the local church of christ and he and his wife are doing great the group has really grown in the past year.

My Wilderness is Blooming and I'm so proud.  I've been taking photos like crazy and have several projects that need to be completed as soon as the season/weather is correct. I've been taking lots of photos of a large spider on my deck.  He has now gotten in my way and I'm going to have to move him and I'm sure he is not going to like it. But Oh Well.

Cooler Weather

Oh how cold is it going to get.  When it gets to cold I don't like to get outside but I also miss out on some great photos.  The weather is changing and the "Time" will be changing soon so it will be getting darker earlier.  Soon Halloween and dear season will be here.  Those two alone gives us lots of oppertunities.  Fairs and Rodeos are starting up.  Fall Colors and activities are just around the corner.  Thats just for the month of October and then we have Nov. and Dec. to go.  Oh so much to do.  My squirrels are out on the deck looking for their nuts they know that winter is on its way.

See you in the Willderness!

Fall has Begun

Its a beautiful day and a great day for taking photos.  So much as been happening in the last month.  The weather has been co-operating and there should be lots of water for waterfalls.  As soon as the fall colors come in I will be out there looking for the waterfalls.  This stinks about the Buffalo River.  I know Tim Ernest is really upset about this decision since he has a lot of workshop in that area.

In a few weeks we will he leaving for New Hampshire for the fall colors.  I can't wait to go.  From what magazines I've seen it looks like a great place to go with lots of photo opportunity. It will be fun to get away and the ideal of going someplace that I'v never been excites me.

Get out and take some great photos and show them to your friends.  See you in the Wilderness! !
